My
Chief bobber is a 46 motor in a 47 frame, 47 girder - chromed,
wheels are '60s 18" Borranni laced with stainless to chromed 47
hubs, tires - 100/80 and 130/80, electrics are 12V with Cycle
electric generator and Pertronics electronic ignition. Exhaust by
owner. Fender by owner. Manual advance fabbed from British choke
lever. Original 46 tanks. Left hand police style jockey shift with
suicide clutch(King plates). 28 tooth transmission sprocket for
decent highway speed. 40mm Dellorto pumper carb on intake adapter
from Tedd's. Headlight is NAPA 788. seat by BAR. I very much prefer
the modern upgrades over "period correct" options. The performance
enhancement is significant and improved reliability makes this
old-timer an all day rider. |
